The Mullen’s Summer Highlights
By: Jennifer Mullen
This was the first summer in six years that I wasn’t morning sick, miserably pregnant, nursing, or sleep training. I truly feel refreshed! We are so grateful that we are transitioning into a family without babies/toddlers! FINALLY, I have hit my stride in motherhood!
Having said that we had some bittersweet moments. First, my eldest graduated pre-school. Second, we had a garage sale to sell all of our baby items: high chair, pack-n-play, carseat, strollers, bouncer…yeah. Mark and I took a quick trip to Las Vegas. My favorite thing was our visit to Hoover Dam. It was great to spend time together as a couple with no kids.

I’m thankful for the Christian heritage that has been passed down through generations of my family. One of our summer trips was to the farmlands where my parents grew up. We want our children to know their “roots”. My girls and I took a short trip to Kansas with my parents and my niece and nephew. Continue reading
